What is the difference between a dedicated server and a KVM root server?
A dedicated server is physically yours alone - CPU, RAM and storage are shared with no one. A KVM root server is virtualized: on the VPS and the Power Rootserver you share the vCores with other servers on the same machine, while on the Virtual Dedicated Server cores and RAM are reserved for you but still run virtualized on shared hardware.
Can I customize the configuration myself?
No. Our Instant Dedicated Servers are special offers from our current stock with fixed specs – that's what makes them available instantly and often cheaper than a custom configuration.
Does the available stock change?
Yes. Stock changes continuously, and individual servers can sell out at any time. Once a server is ordered, it disappears from the list.
Is DDoS protection included?
Yes. Every dedicated server is protected against DDoS attacks at no extra cost.
Can I reinstall my operating system later?
Depending on the server, this is possible from your customer area. Details are shown for your specific server after ordering.
Is there a minimum term or setup fee?
No. Our dedicated servers are prepaid, with no contract, no minimum term and no setup fee.
